There are seven major Chakras or energy centres of the body. Chakra is a sanskrit name which means "Wheel" and acts as a spinning vortex or wheel in the etheric body that allow us to receive, process and transmute the life force energy.
The seven major chakras correspond to certain and specific areas of the body and each centre has it's own rainbow spectrum colour associated to it.
The chakras allow the emotional, spiritual and mental force to flow into physical expression. It is believed that the energy we create from our metal attitude and emotion pass through our chakras and into our organs and our very being. Realising this gives us the ability to see how we, as individuals affect the condition of our body, emotions and general wellbeing and also gives us the power to change any idea or condition about ourself that we may have that does not benefit or support us.
